TNR Program
Animal Allies TNR Program Information for Feral Cats
Location: 820 Gossett Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307
- We take ferals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:30-8:00am. We accept the first 20 feral cats in line. Cut off time is 8:15am or until we reach 20.
- Pick-up is the same day at 4:00pm. We close promptly at 4:30pm.
- One cat per trap, per person, per day
- Cat MUST be in a feral cat trap, not a carrier and the trap must be appropriate for the size of the cat. (Please don’t stuff an adult cat in a tiny squirrel trap.)
- Traps can be borrowed by going online to cattrapdepot.org and filling out a trap rental request.
- The TNR program includes spay/neuter, vaccines, and an ear tip.
- Make sure to bring your ID showing your Spartanburg County address.
- The program is free for Spartanburg County residents and $55 per cat for out-of-county ferals.
- If you live in the city of Spartanburg, you must go through Spartanburg Animal Services. If you live in the city of Greer, you would be charged $55.
- The TNR program is for OUTDOOR ferals and strays, not indoor pets.
- Kittens must be at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 2 pounds for surgery.
- Female ferals with kittens need to wean the kittens and have time for their milk to dry up before coming in for surgery.
- We do not do any testing on ferals and we do not see ferals back for rechecks or wellness appointments.
